Pre-Nursery

The Pre-Nursery stage is very important in a child’s life. It is the time between infancy and childhood when a child learns and grows rapidly in many ways. During the Pre-Nursery stage, most children learn to walk, talk, solve problems, and relate to others. Everything that happens to the child is meaningful, each stage of development and skills developed and especial to each child.

Learning more about this stage in your child’s development, can make it easier and better for the parents. Pre-Nursery age is compared to a sponge. The child absorbs all the things that he hears, sees and feels. The SSHS Pre-Nursery class focuses on four main areas of development: physical (body), social (getting along with others), emotional (feelings), and intellectual (thinking and language). Teachers design a curriculum to uncover the innate skills and ability of each child. Different activities are planned to help them develop their abilities; climbing, jumping, hopping, and exploring playground equipment fosters physical growth, waiting patiently for their return to ride the see-saw, to glide down the slide nurtures their socio-emotional aptitude. Imitating movements of animals and other rhythmic movements enhances their creativity.

The time spent in the Pre-Nursery class equips them with lifelong skills – to share, love, and care is the foundation that will be carried on throughout their life.
