Sharing Dedicated God’s Heart through Free Clinic

Sharing Dedicated God’s Heart through Free Clinic

To be dedicated is to be committed to a task or a purpose. As our school’s vision clearly stated, to be a school after God’s own heart is to be dedicated to provide the love and care of God.

Last November 13, 2016, St. Stephen’s High School and the St. Stephen’s Alumni Association, once again dedicated one afternoon to provide an access to a free health care: medical, dental and eye check-up through the annual Free Clinic. Aside from these, another important goal of this event is to provide spiritual care by introducing Christ to the lives of more than 500 deserving indigenous families in our nearby community.

This mission would not have been successful without the assistance from the group of dedicated medical professionals from Manila Doctor’s and Metropolitan Hospital. Also present were groups of dental and optical professionals. Many of them were our very own alumni namely: Dr. Willy Que, Dr. Dean Que, Dr. Samolde, Dr. Rachelle Lim, Dr. Jane Sim Herrera and Dr. Maritess Maroga Aquino among others. There were also volunteers from the St. Stephen’s Parish.

In any significant event like this, it is not just a way of reaching out but more of a sharing of Christ’s generosity to the indigenous families as we serve Him, that we must be Christ-like in our thought, word and deed. Everyone involved in this event has dedicated his/her precious time and expertise that contributed to its remarkable success.
